The 2019 survey was constructed to provide a benchmark for cyber risk strategies and to analyze fields where insurance can bring value. This cutting-edge survey shines a light on the growing cyber market to give risk professionals insight into the current climate of cyber risk.
A key trend throughout the nine years of this study has been a growing reliance on insurance. The 2019 Information Security and Cyber Risk Management survey proved to be no exception, with buyers demonstrating more sophistication about the type of coverage and limits they need. Results also showed a 70 percent satisfaction rate for respondents who had experienced a cyber claim, highlighting the consistent growth value of cyber insurance. Among the risks associated with cyberattacks, respondents designated business interruption as their most prominent concern.
