NEW YORK – April 23, 2015 – Advisen Ltd. announced today that the Honorable Michael Chertoff, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Executive Chairman of The Chertoff Group, will deliver a keynote address at its annual Cyber Risk Insights Conference on October 20, 2015 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
Mr. Chertoff spent four years as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, from 2005 to 2009, defending our borders from would-be terrorists, while also transforming FEMA into an effective organization following Hurricane Katrina.
Prior to heading up the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Chertoff served as a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Michael Chertoff is the Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of the Chertoff Group where he provides high-level strategic counsel to corporate and government leaders on a broad range of security issues, from risk identification and prevention to preparedness, response and recovery.
In addition to his role at The Chertoff Group, Mr. Chertoff is also senior of counsel at Covington & Burling LLP, and a member of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations practice group.
