CNA said Ziad Kubursi has been hired as senior vice president, Financial Institutions and Management Liability, effective April 6.
Kubursi will be responsible for the strategic leadership and profitable growth of these high-performing areas.
“Ziad has a proven track record of success in the management liability and financial lines arenas,” said Mark Herman, president and chief operating officer of CNA Specialty. “I am confident his strong leadership, underwriting and relationship management experience make him ideally suited for this role.”
Kubursi brings more than 18 years of insurance industry experience to this role, most recently serving as senior vice president, head of the Management & Professional Liability division for Philadelphia Insurance Company, a member of Tokio Marine Group. Prior to Philadelphia Insurance Group, he held key positions at AIG’s Financial Lines organizations, including zonal vice president & regional executive, senior vice president national accounts, and head of Financial Lines – Growth Economies.
Kubursi holds an executive master of business administration from the London Business School, a master of business administration from Adelphi University and bachelor of arts in government and politics from George Mason University.
